Unity Swimming

Women-Only Swimming in a Safe, Supportive Space

Learn to swim or improve your skills in a women-only environment that respects your culture, values, and comfort.

Katrice speaks on ITV NEWS on the women who are battling the cultural barriers stopping them from swimming.

Why Women-Only Matters

Many women from diverse communities face unique barriers to swimming:

Cultural Modesty Concerns

Swimming in mixed-gender spaces may conflict with religious or cultural values. Our women-only classes respect these boundaries completely.

Body Confidence

Learning to swim in a women-only environment removes the pressure and self-consciousness many women feel in mixed spaces.

Hair Care

We understand the concerns about chlorine damage to afro-textured, relaxed, or treated hair. We can recommend protective swimming caps and hair care strategies. Swim caps for long and big hair are easily available.

Safety & Comfort

Some women have experienced harassment or discomfort in mixed swimming environments. Our women-only classes provide psychological safety.
